# Adding salary profiles

## A salary profile can be linked to several items.

You can easily create salary profiles in Fleks. You can then link this to contracts, certain positions or even directly to an employee.

To do this, go to \[**Settings** \> **HR & Finance** \> **New Wage Profile**\].

You will now see the following screen once you click on create new salary profile.

Here you can indicate the following:

- Pay profile name and ID ID

- The start and end date of the salary profile

- The age and the amount that belongs to this

The amount always corresponds to the indicated age. This amount is calculated from that age. As in the image above, employees aged 18-24 earn €15 per hour and employees aged 25-29 earn €20 per hour.

If you would like to set up an **additional rate period**, click on '**Add new rate period**'. Here you will see the same screen again, where you can create a wage profile for a certain rate period.

*Fleks Tip*: It is useful to know that the name and ID of your **salary profile** always remain the same if you add multiple rate periods.
